150 Grain .308 Flat Point	June 6, 2014

I bought these bullets for use in a Marlin 336 Lever Action. Being a tube fed rifle it requires a round or flat point bullet that is wide enough at the tip to span the area of the primer enough to not punch the primer in the magazine when the gun is fired.

Because the cartridges are stacked nose to primer in the tube, the concern is that a chain fire can result and cause damage and or injury to anyone near the gun when it goes off.

I compared the tips of a Sierra Flat Point Pro-Hunter and the Xtreme .308 150 Gr. Flat Point and the tips are nearly identical in width.

I am satisfied these bullets will work very well and are safe for use in any tube magazine type rifle like the Marlin .30-30.

I have not loaded any yet so I will have to write a range report on my success with this bullet. But I know many others have used this bullet in other style guns and most are satisfied. I am sure I will like them too.

Had been looking for a good "heavy" bullet and load for my 32-20 Contender. The 308-150 copper plated bullets over Unique are working out very nicely.

I have had great luck with these on top of 16.4 grains of ramshot enforcer. OAL is in the 1.985" or so. Feed well from PMAGs & the Promag clones. Also, a very cheap solution for 308 Win loads too.

I had feed problems at first then realized I didn't have the feed ramps in the receiver got the dremel out and feed problem solved. Will have to do some more testing first impression is very promising. gun is 300AAC blackout

S&W 300 Whisper/300 AAC Blackout upper. Buffer is standard "carbine" buffer and spring.
This bullet seems to work best loaded to the base of the neck (1.9255 COAL using my caliper) which places the .250 diameter of the bullet at the magazine's guide rib. Bevel the case mouth slightly. DO NOT crimp this bullet even with a taper crimp die but remove any "bell" at the mouth. Sort cases by head stamp! I used CCI 400 and CCI 450 primers. Both work fine. If you are concerned with "slam fires" use CCI "military" primers.

I've found that RL-7 gives enough pressure/gas volume to cycle the action reliably (and lock back on an empty magazine), but still keep velocity below 1500 fps. My starting load was 14.0 gr of RL-7. Work up from there .1gr at a time. Groups are nominally 1.5 MOA, but an occasional unexplained "flyer". These are not match bullets but they are excellent for just having fun.

finally got to the range to test out some cheap 300blackout loads and found these to work great and function well. To fire these i'm using a SOTA Arms 16' barrel on my AR15. Didn't chrony the loads just more for function but was getting 2"groups @100 yards using 19grains A1680 o.a.l of 2.01" light crimp. The key here is these will only function in an AR using Pmags. Couldn't get them to fire with my usgi mags. great products. thanks Xtremebullets you are now my dedicated supplier for bullets!

Try as I might, I just can't get these to feed properly in my 300BLK. They're way too short to fit properly in any magazine. Even loading to the absolute longest I could get, at 2.05", I experienced severe jams, setback, and even a bullet that pulled out of the case neck staying stuck in the chamber. I honestly don't understand how anyone got these to function well in an AR15. Literally half of my rounds jam if I load more than 5 in a magazine.

With that said, shipping was fast, bullets look good, price was right, and I'm sure they'd be an excellent choice from a 30/30 or similar. If these were marketed as a 300BLK bullet, they'd get a one star rating and I wanted to be fair in rating the actual bullets for what they are.

My order came in days, not weeks as well. I using these for 300 AAC Blackout loads, they are working well in my AR for feed and function. At this price I can do a lot more shooting!
