I ordered 1K of these to try as my first experience with a plated bullet. These 185 PFP bullets measured .493" on my calipers. Since the SAAMI spec for minimum .45ACP length is 1.190", I loaded 500 of these bullets to an OAL of 1.200" over 6 grains of Accurate #2. The first 100 rounds fed and functioned fine out of my Springfield XD45 Mod 2 Service. Accuracy was stellar, and I was pleased with the new round's performance. I'll be ordering more of these as needed. Thumbs up!

Not Good in Springfield XD

Do not use in a Springfield XD or XDs, multiple OAL's attempted in different types of case and no luck. Springfield chambers with their feed angles do not work. To be fair I tried 20 different OALs, mag springs were changed, new mags or old ones I changed so many parts and mags to finally realize the bullets are the problem and gave up. All round nose profiles in multiple OALs work fine. So now I have to figure out what to do with 1300 bullets.....

I loaded some of these up and some of the 200 grain flat points and I can say these seem better. Out of my 2 .45's they are the most accurate and have no feeding problems. I found 1.155" to 1.160" cartridge O.A.L to work great in my Springfield 1911 and Springfield XDM 3.8 45. No feeding problems and point of aim is point of impact for me.
