Description

X-Treme Bullets are proudly made out of the finest materials available in the United States in order to ensure performance delivered down range with each and every shot.  Our process starts with a lead billet that is extruded into wire. The lead wire is then swaged into a core. The cores are copper plated, then restruck once more. Though not common in the industry, this restrike process produces a bullet that is more uniform, with a more precise diameter and a smoother finish for a better shooting and better looking bullet.

Short... Very short bullet! July 28, 2017
Reviewer: Michael Beal from Salem, IL United States
Ordered 500 of these to test out in my 7.62x39 AR. Received them yesterday and they look great. OAL and weight is consistent bullet to bullet, seem to cycle well, but...

These things are SHORT. Really short for caliber. One reviewer stated he was seating to 2.200". I have no clue how! Seat depth per the Western Powders manual is 2.100" and that's not enough to get to the case shoulder with this bullet. There is no way to maintain accuracy below 5MOA at 100m with these bullets seated any longer than 2.100". Why, then, are these bullets so short? Changing up the alloy to make a longer bullet of equal weight would help.

I see others having feeding issues with these loads, mainly because of the bullet slamming into the AK / SKS feed ramp. Narrowing the meplat and extending the nose would help not only correct the feeding issues but would also give a longer profile improving the seating depth issue and increase maximum usable velocity while still reducing barrel fouling.

Work well in .303 British June 11, 2017
Reviewer: Mike T. from Massachusetts
Took a chance and ordered some for my Enfield No5 Jungle Carbine (1945), even though the diameter is a bit small for some .303s.  Very nice reduced power loads over 11-13 gr of Unique, Herco, and Universal.  Accuracy is better than the rifle's peep sights or my eyesight.  Feeding is not as smooth as the long spitzer bullets the gun was designed for, so no "Mad Minute" with these, but seat them as far out as possible, crimp lightly, and they will feed nicely.  The batch I got measure 0.3135.
Update 6.11.17: still working great in .303, so I decided to try these in my Chinese SKS.  They work great over 16.0 gr 2400 in Remington brass with SRP.  This load runs around 1900 fps and cycles my gun reliably, but less vigorously than factory loads.  Accuracy is excellent at 100m, at least as good as factory steel case ammo.  Any less powder will not cycle the action reliably, and I'm told this won't cycle an AK at all.

Great in 300 blackout October 5, 2016
Reviewer: Andrew Choi from Hanover, PA United States
I use these bullets in 300blackout they shoot so great. Swaged them using lee 308 die and use wolf srm primers over 13gr lil gun.  I would have never known about these great bullets if it werent for a good friend that gave a handful to try.  Thank you extreme bullets for making a great bullet at a great price.

7.62 Shooting well in MY SKS! May 2, 2015
Reviewer: christopher Manzo from Middle River, MD United States
I have used about a thousand of these in a Norinko SKS. I replace the steel core in Tula and Brown bear. Also in brass reloads. Length set to 2.050 COL. My SKS likes polymer magazines,10,20 and 30 round. Fired well in the original magazine. I have had no issues , accuracy if fine and I shoot regulary indoors with this bullet, Steele is not permitted. VERY HAPPY!

Definitely NOT for SKS April 28, 2015
Reviewer: Tom Zeeba from Wilkes-Barre, PA United States
As a previous poster noted, these are not intended for SKS and AK-type rifles.  The flat point fails to engage the feed ramp and allows the cartridge to slam into the breech face, pushing the bullet further into the case.  I still shot them over a chronograph to see if there was a velocity difference, but only in PITA, single-shot mode.  There was little difference in velocity compared to the .311 bullets I've been using.
